Flexibility to watch and the quality of the content are the key reason why these online platforms impress people. OTT is a multi-platform service like Netflix, amazon, this is a diverse platform based on language, the genre you can see worldwide entertainment just by sitting in the comfort of your house.OTT services also let you watch personalized content and make recommendations based on your tastes.The disadvantage of this platform is the theatre experience, the sound, VFX, people's reactions, claps, and whistles. It can be addictive. It can be a threat to your secretary if not using scurried app or platform. There is no censorship of ott so there are operate independently and without following governmental policies. This can be a threat to underage users cause of no censorship.
Theatre is an old platform of entertainment that is still going strong by getting advances in technology, quality and sound, most people go to the theatre to see a movie like KGF, RRR, Kantara, Avatars, Black Panther, Brahmastra should be watched the theaters otherwise the feel, high quality of picture and the cinematography which would not be served on TV or phone. People go for theatre as a group outing like a date, a fun day with friends and family. It also gives a boost to the economy. The disadvantage is the expense of the ticket, on recent days they are extra based on their sitting, food. It is also loud people, cleanness, and availability of movie tickets, which may not match your schedule. The big trouble is not being able to pause, play, skip a few scenes, and watch in your comfort .Few people don’t go due to the fear of the movie not being good and people are not ready to spend there hard earn money for a bad movie.
OTT platforms are undoubtedly changing the way we consume entertainment, and the cinema industry has taken a hit. However, the cinema experience can never be entirely replaced, and many moviegoers still prefer the thrill of watching a movie on the big screen. As such, it’s safe to say that OTT platforms are not taking over the cinema hall entirely but are offering an alternative viewing experience for consumers.
