A must read movie review of maamannan
Maamannan is a political thriller based on real life incidents, released in 2023, directed and written by Mari Selvaraj and produced by Udhayanidi Stalin.The film stars Udhayanidhi Stalin, Keerthy Suresh, Fahadh Faasil, and Vadivelu.
The movie talks about the relationship between an MLA and his son, who belong to a dailt community, are forced to stand up against the privileged arrogant scion of a late politician ,who is determined to make them bow down to him.
The hero of the movie is Vadivelu, who plays the role of the hero's father. He is a comedian, but it was refreshing to see him in a serious role. Another highlight is Fahadh Faasil, who plays the antagonist. He plays an important part in shaping the film .The scene that touched hearts which portray the director classic screenplay of the violence again defenseless men and animals,long lasing guilt,inhuman violence,a tender romantic track .The main character of the movie was dialogue.The interval scene was which gave a good start to second half.
The part which disappointed me ,the second half becomes a political power game which was not so fun to watch cause it was bit of a lag cause of lot of music and slow motion scenes which should have been cut cause of the length and the music could be better if you considering to be A.R.Rahman doing the music .
The climax was beautiful and movie was a one time watcher they could have made the story better cause the cast had a lot of potential of performing if the story was much better.
